Do Every User Need To Complete The Linking Process?
The answer is YES, This is an official instruction given by the DOT, and every telecom operator needs to obey their rules. So, it’s mandatory for all existing Airtel and Idea sim card users to verify and link their Aadhaar card number with their mobile number.
Otherwise, the connection will be cut down by the operator itself. Every user needs to visit their nearest retail store to complete the Aadhaar based e-KYC verification process. Operators also stated in their message that, it’s mandatory to link the Aadhaar card number and mobile number.
So, if you have also got this type of message from your operator, then you need to visit your nearest Airtel or Idea retail store and submit your Aadhaar card to complete the verification process with ease. Users also need to complete the biometric authentication by giving the fingerprint to the scanner machine.
So, it’s a good action taken by the Department Of Technology to stop cybercrime and mobile phone number abuse. Irritation calls from unknown number will also reduce after the completion of this process. And as it is a compulsory process for each existing users, every sim cards will be disconnected which will not complete the verification.

- Then provide your phone number and Aadhaar card number to the shopkeeper.
- A four-digit verification code will be sent to your number for the next level verification process.
- Now, users will need to give that verification number to the shopkeeper again.

Everybody is responsible for this stupid central govt whoever voted them. Please be aware of them atleast now if we have them one more time then no one human being can survive in our country.
Really this is completely useless. I don’t know what our government is doing. They just like disturbing common people.
the gov doing the trick here …. first verification, then cancelling other duplicate sim cards brought without proof (which is good) , at last the gov says- ‘you have to pay if you use a sim card’.
only if modi is the prime minister..
What if the sim card i used was taken with someone’s documents? My sis got mine using her voter id. Can I still link the mobile no. with aadhar?
Hope Supreme Court of India strucks down all these authoritative instructions which has no meaning and just keeps harassing common man. If we are taking any benefit of any government scheme then only it is justifiable else it is a nuisance.
This is an unnecessary process. we already gave our finger prints during applying adharcard. The above details are kkept in the adhar dept.
they why insist toto the retailer shop. Many of them demanding money from the customers, To avoid this, online li nking is must by the customers themselves.
