Jio recently announced a tariff plan for the Jiophone just a couple of days ago. It is priced at Rs 49 which is reasonable considering it is a feature phone oriented plan. Now besides this, Jio also announced four add-on tariff plans as a booster to the permanent plan. These four Jio Data Add-on Packs are priced closely to one another at Rs 11, Rs 21, Rs 51 and Rs 101.
Jio Data Add-on Packs/ Booster Packs 2018
These add-on plans only offer extra data on top of the primary recharge. The Rs 11 plan offers 400 MB 4G data, the Rs 21 plan offers 1 GB of 4G data, the Rs 51 plan offers 3 GB of 4G data and the Rs 101 ad on plan offers 6 GB of high-speed 4G data. Now all these plans do not come with a validity as they just add the additional data on top of the primary data plan. To make things easier, let us suppose someone has a Rs 149 Jio tariff plan with 1.5 GB of 4G data on offer. Now recharging with the Rs 51 plan will bring an additional amount of 3 GB 4G data on top of this primary plan.
Now whether or not these plans will be available for the Jiophone is still a mystery. These plans might only be for the other smartphone users but Jio will eventually come with some other add-on plan for the Jiophone then.
Add on plans from Jio are nothing new as previously Jio introduced a series of add-on plans. This included the Rs 11, Rs 51, Rs 91, Rs 201 and Rs 301 plans but they were considered a bit high priced especially being an add-on plan. Now Jio has decided to stick with 4 add-on plans and that too affordable one. This new move from Jio is probably a response to Airtel on their Rs 193 add-on plan. Jio is known to be the only one in the business to offer affordable add-ons and they plan to keep it like that with these new four Jio Data Add-on Packs.
